I cannot believe in JUST 2 MORE days my whole NEW life starts.
I am so excited...I wanted this for so long and my time is finally coming.
I have been on the liquid diet since March 6th and down almost 15 lbs. Tomorrow is clear liquids and lots of errands to run. I know it is going to be a very long day.
I get my call tomorrow to tell what time surgery is...hope I do not have to wait all day for it.

I cannot believe next week I will be sitting in my hospital room ready to begin my new life.
Had a bit of a scare Tuesday. I am diabetic and have been reducing my insulin due to the liquid diet. Well, that night I did not feeling it coming (like I normally do) and my sugar dropped to 32. Thankfully, Spider (my DH) was home. I took glucose tablets and a big glass of milk. I was shaking, sweating and my heart was racing. Spider wanted to take me to the ER but said I would be fine.
Actually slept very well that night. Woke up with a BS of 133 and a bit of a headache. But no more lows since then.

Had a really rough day yesterday...was sick with diarrhea all day. It was very hard to get my protein shakes in. But did drink plenty of water.
So it is now Day 6 and feeling much better...I am now down 10 lbs...yes I said 10 lbs. I am so happy. I can and will do this.
I do not have anymore headaches and feeling pretty good.

It has been a bit rough but they say the first 3 days are the hardest..I have had a headache but just trying to work through it. Jell-O and popsicles have become my good friends.
Already told DH I am not cooking. He understands!
Beginning the Journey...Pre-Op visit..

Well had the pre-op with the surgeon and anesthesia Tuesday, March 4th. I weighed in at 283,,,and as I said to the nurse I will never ever see that number again.
They explained everything that will happen right before and after surgery. What meds to take and what not to, They gave me a script for liquid pain med and one for Previcad Solutab. So will get that filled before surgery,
Then explained about the 2 week liquid diet which I will begin March 6th.
So I am on my way!
