I have been heavy since the beginning of this decade. I hope to slim down to wearing mediums again. Is that too much to ask?
I am giving away the top and skirt pictured in my avatar. I was sitting waiting for the Zion Methodist Church service to begin when the young children I had met wanted to be in a picture with me. I often stay with Edris Thomas who lives close to the church. I love sitting out in the afternoon on the veranda. I can see the hard working farmers returning from their garden (farm).
The home in the background is not your typical Dominican home. The large family who own the home use it to return for visits as they live away. It is the term applied to those from Dominica who must live in other countries in order to work, and support themselves.
I am returning to Dominica in April 08 for another work team project. Our group will be large. Some will stay in the church pre-school. It is a hard floor... I will stay at a family home.
I will have cortisone shots in my knees to help me walk the steep hills and visit the elderly and sick. I like this part of the work team...taking the teens out to visit the older members of Dominica society.
