Today is May 22, 2005. It has been awhile since i have updated my page. Things have been going at such a crazy pace i do not know where to begin. I have meet a really great guy, we had to postpone the wedding which would have been June 11th. We are expecting our first child on or near August 4th. WOW what a rush. Life would have never taken me where I am today without this surgery.

Today is 10/17/04. I am so happy with my life. I am engaged and planning my wedding. I have lost exactly 101 lbs to date.

Today is 08/12/04 and i am now down over 80 lbs. Boy oh boy am I excited. Really looking forward to the hundred pound mark. Life has gotten so much better. I have a good job and a good man in my life. Everything is good.

Today is 06/15/04 and t has been exactly 12 weeks and i have lost a little over 60 lbs. It feels so great to get compliments from the people I work with. I am down 5 sizes in my jeans and 4 sizes in my shirts. Now i have to just work on getting my stomach and arms toned up. Life is great.

I am so excited. Yesterday for mother's Day I went shopping at Avenue to buy my mom a blouse and I decided to get myself a new pair of jeans because my friends started complaining about my baggy clothes. Before the surgery I wore a size 28 jeans. On Saturday I brought a size 22 stretch jeans and they were a little bit baggy. Well yesterday I brought a size 20 stretch jeans because my friends told me that i should try it and that the worse thing that would happen is I would be able to wear them later. Well I got home and immediately tried them on expecting them to not fit but boy was I wrong. They fit a little snug at the stomach but hang nice everywhere else. If this is what happens after only 6 and a half weeks I don't know if I can handle this weight loss thing after 6 months or so.

Well, it’s official! You’re on the losing side. The trumpets are blaring, the cymbals are crashing and the drums are drumming – all for YOU! I hope that all went well for you! You’ve been out of surgery now for a little over a month – YIPPIE!!! Your journey will have moments to “pause” – I’d like to impart some words of wisdom for when it does occur - remember these wise words whispered by Confucius – “It does not matter how slowly you go so long as you do not stop.” Be patient. You didn’t put it on over night, it won’t come off over night (DARN IT!)…Don’t forget to update your profile at least monthly and take lots of pictures…the transformations will make your jaw drop!!! RNY 10/31/03 – down 93 pounds!!! Good luck!

Some Zen Wisdom for you - Nothing exists but momentarily...One thing flows into another...observe things as they are, let everything go as it goes. This is to put everything under control in its widest sense. --- May God keep you close to his side as you travel your new journey. You will have ups and downs. You can always turn to us, your AMOS family, we will give support, comfort and encouragement. You will find this will be the best thing you could ever have done for yourself as well as your family. I know that was true for me. I was on holiday when you had your surgery and didn't get the opportunity to wish you well prior to your surgery. However, I pray for a speedy and easy recovery for you. It is now 4 days after my surgery. I have been home for 2 days and things are still wierd but i feel stronger and better everyday. As long as i listen and do what i am suppose to i know that i will be okay. I want to thank all of you that had me in your prayers it means the world to me to have people care.
