Surgery went great. Didn't like the hospital much, but the nurses were nice. I've been off pain medication since before I left the hospital. So far so good on eating. Made it through the liquid stage and am now on pureed. I called the surgeon's office today to ask if I could go back to work early -- like next week. Hopefully I'll hear something tomorrow.

I came out of the hospital weighing 10 lbs more than when I went in. Lost all of that and another 17 lbs. So, I'm down 77 lbs total. My face is looking so small! I measured my hips last night and I've lost 4 inches there. That's just since the surgery. I wouldn't get anywhere near a tape measure in the beginning!

I'm still very excited about this whole adventure. It will be difficult when I start back to work. Mainly the planning for meals and snacks. I still have not been able to get all the water in I am supposed to. But I AM getting in my protein! YAY!

Haven't exactly kept up with the blogging. Surgery is in 9 days. I'm ready. I know that Sharon is terrified, but she will be fine once she knows I'm ok. Doug is coming up next weekend. That was really sweet of him to offer. Not sure what all I will need his help for, but I guess I will be finding out.

September seems so far away.  Now that I have definitely decided to go through with this surgery, I want it to be here NOW!  I'm trying to remember that all the things that have to be done first will serve to teach me how to eat, live and cope after surgery.
