Hi everyone! It has been 2 years and 7 months now and I have lost 117 pounds. I am a size 14 in pants now and I am still very glad that I had wls. My life is so much better physically and in every other way. It has been an EXPERIENCE and the only thing I don't like is saggy skin. In spite of that, I thank God that I found this to be my answer to losing weight. I had tried all the diets I could stand, lol. I pray that all who choose this weight loss journey will do as well or even better than me. God Bless.

Feb.3rd,2003.....9 1/2 mo.post -101 pounds. This seems slower than a lot of people who had surgery on the same day as me but since I am 57 years old and not as active as you younger folks, I am happy with my loss. I can wear size 16 pants and feel rather "cute" lol. I have really done well. I feel well and I am very happy with my surgery. My doctor, Dr. Parham Mora in Prattville, Al. is a gem. May God bless his hands and mind as he helps others like me.

Cheryl it was so good to hear from you. Contratulation on your weight loss. I see you are doing wonderful. Our journey is 6 months out and I must say mine is getting better everyday. I am in a support group locally. Some of Dr. Mora's patience are in it. I would love it if you would join. Do you go to Dr. Mora's meetings? Karen Gates started our group and I know she would love for you to join. She is always at Dr. Mora's meetings. Stay intouch it was so good to hear from you. Love, Mary

Thanks so much for your words of encouragesment. It helps alot to calm the nerves, knowing that so many people had it done, and the support on this site is great. I'm sorry to hear about your knee. On the good side though, I know your last update said you lost 93 pounds, and it was coming off too slow, but 93 pounds is alot of weight, and I congratulate you. I only hope I do as well. Good Luck and God Bless. I will pray for you.

This is Dec.2nd, 2002. The same day as the last posting just under this one. I forgot to put the date on it I think. Anyway I still have not scheduled knee surgery. Dr. has me on non- weight bearing exercise until Feb. It is somewhat better,

I have lost 93 pounds now and it is still very slow. I know that I should get in more protein but am greatful to still be losing however slow. I feel great and wear size 16 pants. I have one pair that are size 14 that I can wear. I have much more energy and do a lot more than I did prior to surgery. I feel good most of the time which is a miracle considering the bad health that I was once in. It has been a wonderful thing for me and I would do it again in a heartbeat even if I never lost another pound.
