I can't belive it will be just 3 more weeks. I went to the hospital yesterday for my pre-testing. Glad that is all over. I have to say that everyone at the hospital was really great. I was told my excitement was contagious. I have been waiting for this for so long. I can say that I am really ready. I am completely sure about my decision.
After the testing, there was a 2-1/2 hour class. I am really glad that was on the schedule. It just gave me a better idea of what to expect. I feel like it will help me be a better patient. It did make me a little more scared. I didn't realize I would have a tube for a week. Yech! However, I would rather know now than find out after surgery. I continue to think that the support team at the hospital will be there for me along this journey.
Also, it just happened to be support group night. I went back to the hospital last night to see what that was like. There were mostly banders. It was good to hear both sides. I am still firm in my decision. However, I met some 2 people that just recently had surg. Also, there was another getting ready to have surgery on the 2nd. It was really good staying after and talking to them about the process. I have to say it was a good first experience.
