Happy Monday Morning!!!!

Jan 07, 2007

Most of working America doesn't see Monday morning as happy at all.  I am reminded of just 3 short months ago while recovering from GBS when I couldn't even turn over in my bed without being in EXCRUCIATING pain.  I couldn't get up without the help of my teenage sons.  All I could do was pray to God for healing, grace, and mercy.
So I am thankful this morning.  Though my flesh did not want to get up out of my warm bed.... Though I was tempted to hit the snooze button on the alarm clock repeatedly....Though my flesh certainly doesn't WANT to get back into the gym this morning.....I AM THANKFUL, AND HAPPY that I am still here, I have the activity of my limbs, my children are still here, and they are well.  I am thankful, and no matter what comes my way today, I will maintain an attitude of gratitude.  The Bible says, "In everything give thanks - for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning YOU".  God is concerned about YOU....so no matter what you're going through, if you love the Lord, AND you are living according to His Word, all things are working together FOR YOUR GOOD.....No matter what the circumstances appear to look like on the outside.
Be encouraged and blessed today.

Good morning

Congratulations on living your healthier lifestyle! Keep up the good work. I know its difficult sometimes because old habits die hard. I had weight loss surgery 3 months ago, and even with the surgery, its still important that I make good healthy food choices. I know that some of you have had a rough year in '06, but hopefully that it has brought you closer to God. Its amazing how He will give you a measure of peace even in your toughest situation. We all go through problems, but I'd much rather go through my problems with God, than without Him.  I am a single mom. (divorced for a year and a half) I have 4 children. 2 boys, (almost 16 and almost 14) and 2 girls (11 and 7) I work full time and I also own a business called Accents by Design. (I custom design jewelry) Lots of responsibility for me. I know some of you can relate.  Sometimes it seems that there aren't enough hours in the day, but God gives me the strength to do what is necessary so I am thankful. Well, I'm on my way to the gym after I drop my kids off at school, then I will come home to get ready to go to work. You take care, be blessed, and have a beautiful day.

New Year's Resolutions?

Jan 01, 2007

One thing I've learned as I've gotten older is that Slow and Steady wins the race.
I used to make resolutions each year, but I never could follow through for very long.  So I no longer make "New Year's Resolutions".  I do take time to reflect on the things that I'd like to improve in my life.  I evaluate, and re-evaluate my goals, and methods of achieving my goals.
I make and re-new committments to myself and my family.  Whether it be to quit smoking, or to begin living a more health conscious lifestyle, achieving goals is  most often a process, and generally doesn't happen overnight.  If we commit ourselves to achieving our goals no matter what, eventually we will meet that goal.
Happy New Year's to all!!!  Be enouraged on your weight loss journey.  Stick to your own personal regime.  Remember....Slow and steady wins the race!!!!   Stay Blessed!!!
