Becky, After reading your story, I am in AWE. The struggles you have been through are in the past and the ONLY thing you need to look forward to is the future. And you know what? It looks a great deal brighter now. Good luck on your follow-up on the 9th. I look forward to one day meeting you and giving you a hug at a future WLS reunion. Darrin San Diego, CA

Well...Becky did great! Dr. Boe said the procedure went perfectly! The drugs kicked in right away, so she was very sleepy the 1st day. They did get her up and walking 4 hours after recovery. She said her feet felt very heavy, but all in all, she felt pretty good. Gas pains in her chest and shoulders were most of her discomfort, but the nurses have assured her that walking will help to minimze the gas. She should be home on Thursday and will let you know what time as soon as I know. email me with any questions! [email protected] Lucy

Well my beautiful daughter, the journey has begun! I am soooo proud of you and your courage to go through with this. Your surgery was a great success as your new life will be! I am so happy for you and it is my honor to walk with you into your new life! I love you more than anything and can't wait to see that beautiful person inside emerge and grow! I love you more!! MOM

Hi Lucy I have just left Oslo, Norway. On our way to Stockholm. I am on the ship's computer, but having problems getting on Rebecca's homepage. So Ihope you can either cut and paste this or just take this to read to her at the hospital tomorrow. Tell her my mom and I are together and we are sending our love and support from 1/2 way around the world. I will be thinking of her all day tomorrow and praying the surgery goes off without any problems. I told Rebecca before I left that I hope the personality changes her physical appearance but not her personality. She is a wonderful loving outgoing person. Just make sure they don't do anything to inhibit that during the surgery. I know this is what she wants and she is about to become the person she has always wanted to be. We will be here thinking of her and praying for her. Please don't forget to send me e-mails to update me. I will think of her always. Send her my hugs, loves and kisses!!!! Audra aka Bunky to her!!!! P.S. Tell her to never forget the riding of the bull in Dublin!!! I hope it doesn't hurt her to laugh!!

It's here, it's here, it's finally here!!!!!!!!!! Wishing you a perfect surgery and speedy recovery. My thoughts and prayers will be with you. To celebrate once you're feeling up to speed we'll get back to the lawn ornaments, this time YOU can do the commando crawl accross the lawns with the 30 lb owls....oh the times we've had!!! I love you and I am so proud of you! Don't let anybody tell you this is not the right thing, it's your life, your body, and your journey. I'm behind you all the way girlfriend!
