Well, its been almost 2 months and I am down a little over 17 pounds. As I did not have a huge amount of weight to lose (my overall goal is 80 pounds), I didn't expect it to come off very fast; so I am very pleased with my progress. I have a small open area on my incision line that has been slow to heal. I had a buildup of fluid under the skin around the area and it has been draining steadily since about 2 weeks post-surgery (prior to that I had steri-strips on so it didn't start draining right away). It is sore but has not gotten infected; so I consider it a small price to pay for my surgery. Thanks to all of you who have checked my page and sent me well wishes. You have made this journey easier and more pleasant. RLNana K 18 years, 4 months ago

Rebecca, congrats to you and your husband.denlath 18 years, 4 months ago
Hello everybody this is Dennis (Rebecca's Husband) I just wanted to let everybody know that she is doing great and is home. The surgery went perfectly. She has had very little pain, and is resting comfortably. It is my turn to play nursemaid, since she took such good care of me a little over a year ago for my RNY.denlath 18 years, 4 months ago

Hi, from one Rebecca to another! :-) I just wanted to let you know that I had a revision from VBG to RNY with Dr. Pearce on 10/24/05, so I am about 4.5 weeks post-op now. I won't lie to you, the first 2-3 weeks were rough, but I am feeling better now and going back to work on Monday. If you have any questions or need support, please feel free to e-mail me. I will be thinking of you on the 29th and praying that your surgery will go flawlessly and that you will have a quick, painless recovery! Becky aka RJH-in-OKCAbout Me
