-3lbs
Jan 22, 2008
Weighed in at the doctors office yesterday down to 216lbs spoke to the nutritionist she says I'm on target its been 3 weeks (almost 4) so that's 4lbs a week, so steady as she goes, although I am impatient and wish it would go quicker, but I've been told that too fast is unhealthy oh well.
My Big 40
Jan 20, 2008
Went out for Sushi with family and friends to my favorite Sushi bar to celebrate my 40th birthday (Wow I said it and I still can't believe it, isn't it funny that no matter how old you get you still feel like a kid inside?) So anyway I had read on one of the posts that if you asked they could make hand rolls without the sticky rice, well they can, they will, and they did.
First Fill

Me -13lbs.
Jan 05, 2008
Had my first check up after the surgery on the 4th lost 13lbs! Yea!! The doctor, nutritionist and nurse were all pleased as am I, apparently I weighed 228 before surgery which I didn’t know I thought it was 224 but that’s great so I actually lost more than I thought and I’m finally feeling satisfied not full though I still haven’t experienced that but I’m doing ok. Now I’m looking forward to my next appointment on the 11th when I should get my first fill.

I thought drinking so much water with the Popsicles, would cut out the hunger but it hasn’t. I even added 4oz of "chike nutrition" protein powder with negative results. I finally blew a fuse about an hour ago I ate about 3oz. Of cheddar cheese man that was good did nothing to quell the hunger though and now I have horrendous gas which is lovely on top of the ache my stomach was already feeling from the surgery, I’m going to pop another Percocet, hit the sack and hope things are better in the morning.
I am Banded! 27 DEC 2007
Dec 27, 2007
Went in at 9am whisked through blood tests, a urine test and about a zillion repetitive questions met the anesthesiologist and spoke with my surgeon Dr. Jean-Baptiste then off I rolled! It was great no problems thank God, spent the rest of the day in the bed falling in and out of a deep sleep that I really needed. Had a meal of Jell-O, what tasted like egg drop soup, diluted apple juice and water delivered, but I wasn't hungry (me the self proclaimed foodie not hungry, wow) just super thirsty, sipped 2 of the medicine sized cups of water, two teaspoons of the broth and a sip of the Jell-O which had melted by the time I got to it largely because I kept falling asleep. Felt bloated after the liquids and had gas that seems stuck can't get a good burp out. The nurse came and we walked three circuits around the floor which did alleviate some of the gas pains, and now I’m finally able to stay awake so I’m up surfing the net on my laptop figured this is a good time to post I want to try to keep an accurate record as things progress. Thank you so much for your support and advice, I feel great and I can't wait to experience tomorrow!!

I am trying to calm down I have to pack a bag for the hospital, find some sweats to wear and take more before pictures!!! Wheee!!! Thank God I’m working tonight it will give me something to do besides be a nervous wreck.
