Waiting on Insurance approval!

Here it is July already. I did go for my first appointment on May 21st, and everything went smoothly. It wasn't exactly what I expected but close. Mostly educational stuff. The funny thing though is I meet a lady about my size who had lap band surgery about 2 years ago. She had only lost about 40 pounds and no more. She said the education wasn't as good then, because no one told her it was according to what kind of eater you are as to the type of surgery you need. She is now going to have gastric bypass. This help me to know gastric bypass is the right type of surgery for me. So, it is now July, it has taken me this long to get a letter from my MD on why I need surgery and a copy of my 6 month diet plan to turn in to the insurance. I got everything faxed in last week and hopefully I will hear something soon. I will try to keep everyone posted.

It has taken me 3 months but I finally have an appointment at Gerogetown. I never dreamed it would take so long, but it will be on May 21st. I am very excited. I will keep everyone posted on how things turn out.
