Finding Friends and support online

hey everyone,
a big shout out to everyone who is offering support here at this website.  I have found that everyone really wants to succeed at their weight loss  goals.  It is not easy to lose weight. I think  working at losing weight is better with supportive friends.  It is the way to success.  I appreciate the kind way in which each person has responded to being Internet friends.

I had wanted to use facebook or a regular blog to share my feelings about everything i am experiencing but the friends there are so concerned about appearances and being super cool. I couldn't imagine sharing my weight problems with my friends on facebook or twitter.   This forum has made me more comfortable with being real.  I know many of the folks on this site are struggling with the prospect of having an elective surgery like the lap band and its purpose to help with losing weight and keep it off. 

I am thankful to the Lord that I saw this opportunity and had the ability to choose it.
