Hi guys and gals well i'm 5 weeks Post now and feeling really good! I am down over 7olbs now and never looking back! The changes just keep coming everyday and i look forward to many more! I can't thank everyone enough for all there support and well wishing it has really made all the difference in the world! My wife has been a huge support and makes me feel so proud to be with her everyday! Also my i could not have done this without my Mother who also is here on OH her name is Connie and she looks great! I will make sure and take a new pic for you all to see i do look different already! Ciao for now! Huggzzz to you all!

I just got the call from the UM commitee and they approved the surgery!!! I can't believe that i finally have the approval after 4 years of fighting for this it's finnally a go! So on the 20th at 8:15am i will be in for surgery and on the road to a new life.

Here is the latest in the saga that i call weight loss. turns out that now i am not approved for the surgery and i am waiting on the UM committe to review my case because they lost the paper work. I wanted to scream yesterday i was so frustrated with my HMO i have jumped through every hoop they wanted me too and now this. I made several phone calls to the powers that be and now they are saying that i went to to the wrong hospital with out there consent. The docotor who was going to do my surgery Dr. Thoman refused to because i will not take blood. I was then told by the HMO and UM commitee to go see Dr. Khalilli at Cedars Sanai. I have lost over 50lbs with monitored weight loss done all the per-ops and now they question it. Anyhow i will be contacting the commitee today for the approval and hopefully will no if its a go or not. I am going to Cedars today to meet Dr.Khalilli for the first and i'm not even approved. What a mess! So i will keep you posted on how things turn out. In the meantime i just keep smiling. :)

I just found out that i have a date of the 20th of December for the RNY. I'm so excited! I still have not heard From Blue Cross but should know on Monday for the approval! I will keep you all posted.
