Welcome to My Profile! My name is Brenda (BizzyB) and I live in Harrisburg, PA. I had my surgery (LAP RNY) on 8/13/07 at the Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA . My surgery went great and I'm so thankful for that. I'm very anxious to meet others who are pre and post surgery as I'm a firm believer that what goes around comes around and that each of us has a 'duty' to 'PAY IT FORWARD' so to speak. I would be more than happy to meet others who are in the Hershey Medical Center WLS program also.
OBESITYHELP.COM has been such a blessing to me! There are people here who have encouraged me and helped me through the GOOD and the NOT SO GOOD days...Gave me the information I needed when I needed it...offered support and encouragement. And to those people I am truly indebted.
Contrary to popular belief...Bariatric weight loss surgery is NOT the 'easy way out'. It takes courage, dedication, knowledge and a lifelong committment to a healthier lifestyle if one is to be successful in obtaining their weight loss goal.
Someone once said, "IF WE DON'T PUT EFFORT INTO CREATING WHAT WE WANT, WE HAVE TO PUT EFFORT TOWARD COPING WITH WHAT WE GET." These words certainly ring true in losing & maintaining weight loss. Bariatric surgery is a major tool in helping us lose our weight...but by itself it will not give us the results we desire.
