WHHOOO HOO!! Time flies!   Only 2 more days til my 4 month's since surgery.  I FEEL LIKE A DIFFERENT WOMAN!  I went by Dr. office today to weigh and I lost 6 lbs last week!  That is the most I have lost in 1 week since the beginning. I am using the elipitical (sp?)machine (not a lot yet)and I guess it is helping.

A few weeks ago we had a guest speaker at support group and he talked about having NSV - Non- Scale Victories moments He told us the scale is stupid! All it tells you is a number...not  how much is water retention, muscle, or fat.  Although I have had weight loss surgery....and weighing in and losing weight is the plan/goal...THERE is a bigger picture.   People who are sucessful with surgery do not focus on the scale but NSV moments.   That has stuck with me for 3 weeks now.  Now is the time to break bad habits and make changes in my eating.  The surgery is doing most of the work now...but in a few months that will change.  I need to focus on the NSV-  like not wearing a seat belt extender on a plane,having someone not recognize me because they have not seen me for a few months..etc.....  I love the wow and NSV moments. I am going to look for some more in my day to day life.  This has been a stressful time in my life. I am going thru a some very stressful times and I am used to emotional eating.  Everyone was so worried -could I handle all these changes at once?    I have lost a total of 89 lbs since July and 55 since surgery.  I thank God everyday for giving me an other  opportunity to live a healthier life. Ugh...so hard to believe what a difference 75 lbs makes. I am getting stronger every day.  Each day gets better and better.  It's all a process.  I am getting my energy back and my smile! :) 
I will post "After" pictures soon- need to get film developed.

As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn't supposed to ever let you down probably will. You will have your heart broken probably more than once and it's harder every time. You'll break hearts too, so remember how it felt when yours was broken. You'll fight with your best friend. You'll blame a new love for things an old one did. You'll cry because time is passing too fast, and you'll eventually lose someone you love. So take too many pictures, laugh too much, and love like you've never been hurt because every sixty seconds you spend upset is a minute of happiness you'll never get back.
