"I had surgery with Dr Valencia on April 18, 2006. When I was researching the places and procedures, I felt like God lead me here. I came across it through a search engine in 2005 and a peaceful, light shined on me and I knew this is where I wanted to be. Then a year later I went into "PANIC" mode and couldn't remember it and the same thing happend. That is when I decided to stop second guessing everything and proceed with my procedure. The first impression of Dr. Valencia was he looked so young. He was a very sweet, little MD that expressed what was going to happen to me and very self explanatory. The words that stuck in my head were, "I am going to give you a tool. But how you use it is up to you". Those were words I really didn't understand at first. I just thought this is an easy way to loose weight and be skinny in a hurry. But, the words rung through my head and always rung in my head.
When I was wheeled into the OR, I remember being so scared. He and Dr Silva came rushing into my OR and then asked what was wrong. I was crying and didn't say a word. They both asked if I was scared. My reply, "Yes, I am afraid of dying". They kissed my cheek and forehead and said, "Elizabeth, we will see you in a few hours. You are going to be fine". They said a prayer over me and then I woke up in the rocovery room. They said, "ELizabeth, we stayed with you this entire time. How do you feel"? I cried because they were there beside me and I knew God placed them in my life for a reason.
When I felt me slipping and becoming frustrated his words rang loud and clear. Not to mention the money we spent to have this procedure was not cheap. Therefore, I wanted to accomplish everything I could. I still keep in contact with these physicians and I appreciate all that they did for me. They gave me freedom from being overweight again.
I can't express in enough words how careing the staff and tour guide was. I love Affordable Bariatrics. Now, if we can come up with something for plastic surgery in a package as these fellas gave us we would be even more greatful.
