1st blog after surgery

Well, I survived my surgery but am still in so much pain. I was completely blind-sided by how much pain I was going to be in afterward. I've been through several different surgeries but this has by far been the most painful.
I think it must be an individual thing though, some people claim to have had no pain. Why oh why am I not one of them!!
I had my surgery on the 23rd of October and was able to return home on the 24th. I still have severe pain in my left side and am praying that it will go away soon. I saw my Dr. for the first time today since my surgery and he said he thinks everthing is okay, I'm just the lucky one that seems to still have a lot of pain.
I was down 7.5 pounds so I'm real happy about that.
Now I think I've got to get me a ticker up and running...Anybody know how I do that?? :)
Oh, and the NUT got on to me today because I sorta skipped the entire mushy stage and went straight to soft foods...I just couldn't do the soup, oatmeal, and gritts any longer!! LOL
I haven't had any nausea and I haven't thrown up so I think I'm doing okay.
I just pray the pain will go away soon!!
