I am taking the steps to class instead of the elevator. Last week I gave away all my 24,22,20 clothes...I'm proudly wearing an 18. Surprisingly I'm not ready to shop I have bought two pairs of jeans and a few shirts until I reach my goal. I'm currently 246 my goal is 165-175. I'm loving this ride of WLS..no regrets at all.

The past two months have been amazing. I have lost a total of 49lbs and 35% of my body fat. I feel great. I have found the desire to shop but when I go in the store mentaly I feel like I still need a 24 which I don't because they are falling off of me...HMMM !!! I am amazed at how much smaller my legs look and how much better I feel. I love my RNY. I had a bbq chicken leg about two weeks ago and it made me so sick. I went to the doctor yesterday because I felt like everything I ate was getting stuck..He explained to me that when the chicken had gotten stuck it was from me not chewing well and my body rejected it, which caused swellingand that is what made everything feel stuck.. :( I feel better and I am actually enjoying going out to dinner now. I was nervous about eating out but I feel really good about being out.

I have had a lot of people say wow you are so skinny. I am far from skinny but I am smaller than I was. 260lbs . My oldest daughter loves my WLS and is very proud of me. This makes it all worth it.

6 week Check-up

Dec 01, 2011

Well I went for my 6 week check-up and I have lost 44lbs and 31% of my body fat.  I enjoyed Thanksgiving and it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. I have had no problems with my recovery. But I did get a dang stomach bug and was very sick. My doctor was please with me and my husband feels better to know that my stomach bug  didn't really have anything to do with my surgery.

My clothes are so big on me. And it is sad that the only time I really see a difference is when I put my clothes on. People see me and say omg you have lost so much weight but I don't see it.. I just smile. I am trying to learn to properly except a compliment.

My Best Friend is staying with us and she is a plus size women and she thinks my diet is so crazy. She can barely breath but she is reaping the benefit of my clothes. And for a minute it bothered me to watch her snack and I felt like the freaking food police. But I have decided I am only focusing on me. My Sister n Laws are all plus size and they are constantly calling my husband for lunch dates. It bothered me at first but my doctor gave me a card where I can ask to order form the kids menu or get smaller portions. I have been maintaining my portions very well and I am looking forward to celebrating my 32nd birthday in a few weeks. My hubs wanted to kno if I could drink a glass of wine on my birthday..I haven't inquired about alcohol.

My relationship with others have changed I find myself wanting to see everyone eating healthy. I am very open about my WLS because people always here the negative stories and build off of that. I have yet to get the courage to join the gym. But I am going on a free trail next week with my sisiter in law. But I am walking and doin Zumba on my Wii.

I am loving my journey and feeling really great.

3 week follow-up

Nov 11, 2011

I went for my 3 week follow up and I have lost a total of 34.4 lbs and 24% of my body fat. I feel great. I want to try different foods but I am so nervous. I have had issues this week with my protein I just don't want to drink the shakes. But otherwise I have no regrets. I had someone notice the change in me and say wow your getting small.. That felt great.. I am amazed at how my sex drive has increased. My doctor has released me to go back to full duty and work out. I am planning on taking a Zumba class next week.

I have never felt this good in my life. I have not had one moment of regret about my WLS. I felt so good Tuesday night I decided to put on something sexy for my hubby to see his reaction. All smiles my way...lol  He rubbed my hip and said what is that I laughed it was my hip bone. He said I have never felt it before...KMSL

1st post op appt.

Oct 26, 2011

Well today I went for my first post op appt. and it went great. I am 282 lbs my BMI was 41. I have lost a total of 27.4 lbs since pre-op and 19% of my body fat. My doctor was proud of me and told me it was ok for me move to soft foods if I felt comfortable. I tried a small piece of baked salmon and was extremly uncomfortable. So I will try again tomorrow. Still no dumping and my energy level is great. Vitimans and protein going great. This was the best thing I ever done in my life besides my kids and my husband. What makes me feel even better is when people that were skeptical about the procedure see me and are shocked at how well I am doing. My support time has been awesome and I owe them so much. My husband and I have planned to renew our vows next April at Daytona Beach and I can't wait to see the new me on our wedding day.
