My name is Leslie Charboneau, I am Bob's sister. My husband and I flew to New York to be with Bob during his surgery on 11/15/00. I wanted to post an update to let all the wonderful people who have sent such uplifting and heart warming support messages that Bob came through the surgery with no complications and is recovering well. Not to say he hasn't had difficult moments, he has, but he is an incredibly strong person both physically and mentally and is making progress on a daily basis. I'm sure you will hear from him soon, please keep those wonderful words of encouragement flowing to him and keep him in your prayers. I feel blessed to have been able to share this experience with Bob and look forward to returning to NYC next year as he has promised to show us the city - we'll walk till we drop!

Hi Bob, Good Luck I hope everything goes great for you. I just about fell out of my chair when I read your profile the picture of you could have been me if I had a twin in this world you would be it. I follow you by one day and I am getting a little bit nervous. I will say a prayer for you to have a safe and successful surgery. May GOD Bless You.

You are about to give yourself the greatest gift you could ever imagine. My surgery was 7 weeks ago and I must say it is the best gift I have ever given myself. I have dropped 40 lbs and feel and look much better. I am much healthier and have not had to take any blood pressure medication, nothing for acid reflux or a fluid pill since the surgery. My back and joints do not kill me any longer and I am begining to remember how to have fun. I wish you the very best. Good luck and God Bless you. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I am wishing you a very speedy recovery. ^j^
