3 Years Out

Jun 22, 2008

Hello all I am now 3 years out and what a year it has been.  Shortly after my 2 year surgiversary I found out that I was pregnant.  I delivered my precious Jordyn Elizabeth on March 4th.  This has truly been the blessing of this surgery.  I had it primarily so that I could carry my daughter (yes I always knew I would have a girl) in a healthy body.  Of course there was  weight gain of about 43lbs, but I can say 30 of it dropped off in the first month.  The rest has been a challenge but I know that my tool works as well as it ever did.  So I'm going back to basics and what works.  My goal for this year is to take off the rest of the weight I need to lose so that I can have my plastics next summer.  This surgery has and will continue to be the best thing I could have ever done for myself.  I don't have much time to get on the boards as I would like but my support is always there in spirit. God Bless and the journey continues.

June 17 -151 I am 2.  Yeah!.  Okay this was a bittersweet surgiversary for me as I am not at any goal that i have set for myself long or short team.  However it still goes without saying that this is the best thing I have done for myself. I have never lost this much weight in my life nor have i maintained a weight loss for this long.  Don't get me wrong I stil play with the same 6lbs or so but I don't let it get out of control.  I weigh myself daily to keep myself right and work hard to just do what I feel is normal.

This summer I am going to spend some me time getting back to the basics and kick starting some good weight loss numbers.  I have had a crazy year with work and health issues.  Its amazing what weight can cover up.  I know now that I have two buldging disks that no amount of weightloss was going to help but I don't let it stop me.

So for year 3 I plan to have a steady weightloss of 10lbs a month and by next summer be ready for plastics.  I alos plan to get an ob/gyn and see what is the deal on the baby front.  With a new job ahead of me for the fall I think all of the things i want are in line to happen.

A special thanks to all here who inspire me and keep me motivated.  The absolute best part of year 2 was the additional friends i have made through this site.  The life I have now including all of you is second to none. God Bless. and the journey continues

Okay I haven't a clue what a blog is.  But I see people updating here and I know i have been sad in this area so I will make more of an effort to do so.  As of the 14th I am 22 months out.  I had put on weight (8lbs) and was really panicing over this.  But i said i have a tool and i know how to work it. so i got myself in gear and lost 7lbs in 5 days.  The tool works if you work it.  I spent this past weekend at my first OH convention.  I mostly just hung with OHers.  I really thought there would be more vendors.  Didn't make it to any classes but did have a consult with doctor Katzen.  He found a small hernia.  Mostly it was just a blast hanging with everyone and the icing on the cake was i lost the last lb i had gained.  Wow was I shocked.  I have gained on every over night occasion there has been.  and the journey continues. God Bless.
