"I have to say that when I met Dr. Bruce Long for the first time, I was pleasantly surprised. He had great personality and was very informative especially with all my questions. His office staff was just as accomodating as he was. He has a very detailed after care program and he explains all the risks about the surgery to you in detail. I would rate him overall as a 10! Wonderful surgeon with wonderful competence and bedside manner...I think I made a great choice.rnrnrnOne side note, I had a small complication after my surgery and Dr. Long was out of town for the day. The residents at the hospital consulted one of the other GBS surgeons on staff at the hospital. His name was Dr. Lucktong. He was very compassionate and caring especially during my situation. He helped make a decision of whether to go back in to see what the problem was or to let it wait it out. I am glad he chose to let me wait it out and see if the issue cleared up on its own. It did, 12 hours to the minute later. I was spared having to stay in the hospital longer than I already had. I appreciated his knowledge and his expertise as well as his compassion for me even though I was not his patient. He could have chosen not to see me but he didn't. Not many surgeons will do such things."
