CHECKING IN...17 MONTHS OUT DOWN 88LBS!!!

Jun 27, 2012

Hi all,   Here to do my monthly catching up. This month has been great especially compared to last month with the health scare. I had inflammation of the Pancreas and thank God, it was a onetime thing! Left over gallbladder debris was the cause. The pain was worse than the contractions I remember from child birth!!! But now that it’s over I am resting easy! Been going strong at Bally’s, when I’m not working out there, I hit the track or the neighborhood walking and running. Was watching a late night infomercial and that “Insanity” workout one came on, I watched the whole thing lol…then on Monday Dr. Oz had him on his show and based on the results others have seen, I’m going to give it a try!   So now I’m 14lbs from losing the big 100! I’m in shock, disbelief and just excited about my progress and what’s to come! The new lifestyle changes seem like a way of life now. I don’t fight it, it feels natural like this is the way it should have always been! I’ve acquired new tastes, love love love, raw veggies with fat free dip, I’ve been doing fish, chicken, some beef…I really like California Rolls now, I think 4 are 150 calories but I can’t make it past 2. I’ve also become very fond of Activia light it’s really good with about 70 calories…   I don’t really like to eat out anymore because it takes so much effort. I research ahead of time where and what to get which can be time consuming. I’m learning to relax and just go with the flow. Thus far I’ve gone to Fridays, Boston Market and KFC which turned out successful. At Fridays I had the wings which seem to work for me at just about any restaurant and the green beans – even though they’re fried I haven’t had an issue. I can only do about 5 of those. At Boston Market I was craving meatloaf, my stomach didn’t like that at all! KFC I took the skin off the chicken and it worked fine. My friends who are a year out and beyond, make sugar seem like it’s the devil himself, so I’ve avoided all sweets and have no desire to try them!   My body has changed dramatically. Sometimes I look in the mirror and can’t believe it’s me. There’s lose skin but thankfully nothing too extreme and yes there’s the surgery scar but I don’t let it bother me, it’s a small price to pay to have extra years added on to my life!!! I’m at my pre-baby weight so I’m extremely happy. I’m working hard to get these last 14 lbs out by July 22 (5months out). My 29th is August 11th and I must be at 180, that’s my ultimate goal! I know that I will get smaller which is fine, but 180 is my personal goal and would mean so much that I achieved it by my birthday! Until next month….
