I MET MY GOAL BY MY BIRTHDAY!

I had a very wonderful weekend full of celebrations. I weighed in the night before my birthday and indeed I reached my goal of 178. As a reward I treated myself this weekend. Because I was the point of feeling good with the weight I was at, I decided to not be as obsessive and weigh the next day. While at my bday dinner, I had crab cakes soooo good, the inside only and about an ounce of a white sangria and get this chocolate cake for the first time in 6 months, well 4 bites of it atleast J I felt very satisfied and full. The few slips of Sangria made me feel a little tipsy, for about 30 minutes.  I had so much left over from dinner and even snacked on the cake a few more times, no issues but eventually gave it to the kids to finish off for me. I’m back on my regular routine of things. I assumed that because I incorporated small amounts of alcohol and sweets into my diet this weekend that I would have gained a few pounds so I weighed this morning at 177!   I’m not a drinker, prior to surgery I may have had a drink once a year so alcohol is not an issue of mine. I think that it’s okay to indulge every now and then. I wouldn’t want to live a life when I deprive myself completely of everything I enjoy, some things YES but a little chocolate won’t hurt every now and then.   There’s always more room for improvement. Now that I’m 177, I’m setting a new goal of 165lbs.  So that’s 12lbs…and I’d like to lose them by October 1st. From what I hear the weight loss begins to slow down after 6 months. Either way I’m a happy girl! Let’s see how much I can lose by my 6 month check in. Be back on the 21st for updates.
