A Year in the Making

Jul 25, 2011

Hello my Oh fam it has been a very long time since I've blogged here I do how ever stop in from time to time to see how you all are doing..I would like to first say hello and welcome to all the new people on the bench and as you may already know the journey will have many ups and downs but it is one that in my option is worth it. The newest thing I have discovered is that with this surgery and other for weight loss is that although you hit some bumps and you will you will always have the ability to bounce back this is the wonders of surgery in the past if you lost weight on your own a few slips could have you drifting right back to square one quickly and loss all you put in.But with this you can get right back on track and loss weight but only if you put your head in it. I have had stales but its fine because I really can say I haven't been working out like I was a few months ago due to life stresses .This has been a troubling year for me but things are starting to get better so more change is on the rise and I can't wait.If any of you have not already done so hit me up on my you tube page where I spend a great deal of time logging my experience @THEMRSSINGALONG channel...Thank you all for keeping up with me.

Long,Long,Time no blog

Sep 11, 2010

Well fam I've been really getting my grind on trying to loss the most weight I can in six months I,ll be totally honest I haven,t been very strict ,or should I say as strict as I should. However I never over indulge with anything passing my lips, thanks not only to my baby girl (my band) but to the mental I have in place.I am down 40lbs since altogether since June 21th 2010 and that is a number I have zero complaints about ,I look better and I feel better who can ask for more.I am so into this new life style i"ve decided to apply for Police academy and I started back to school this semester,so this band has given me more then I could have imagined. So life is good and I,ll get back soon To be continued........

I'm seeing life without blinders

Jul 19, 2010

Hello my OH family it's been a while since I've posted but I frequently visit to see how everyone is doing,as for me things are going good, really good in fact.I've started my pre-op workout this week and I plan to go 5 days a week so far so good.I have noticed a change in my underwear everything is fitting alot better then before and my weight is starting to drop and I find it amazing to see the weight come off like it is hopefully things will be steady in that direction. My body image hasn't changed much but it will in time.I am motivated big time and plan to stay this way.I can already say that I love my band.Although I haven't had my fill I do have some restriction and it allows me to have 4oz. to 6oz. depending on the time of day and I am totally fine with it, I am learning how to live with my band and the marriage is great between us.Until next time keep it healthy. To be continued....

The Aftermath

Jun 24, 2010

I am finally banded,I am following my liquid stages to the letter and notice that my hunger is around more often then I would like.I'm' alright while  sipping but when I stop the dreaded beast hits me like a ton of bricks(HUNGER)...I will be more then happy to have the pureed food enter my life I will enjoy every moment of it,I can't wait but for some reason I'm scared to.. that's crazy but I'm sure I'm not alone in this.

One other issue I need to work on is drinking 30 mins. before or after ,being on liquids really can't help you prepare for this part of the ride,It was never a problem before but for some reason I am always thirsty so I can see it becoming a problem.

The good thing about the entire process from seminar to post-op is that every step prepares you for the next.I am ever so grateful for the experience, and I thank GOD for giving me knowledge ,a wealth of new friends and for bringing me this far..

30 Day Slim Down

Apr 23, 2010

Hello crew just wanted to send out some updated info on my journey,First off I have been very diligent about exercising and eating right but at my weekly weigh in my excitement quickly turns into frustration because I am dam near obsessed with seeing results and I feel I should be seeing it by now on the other hand that's the whole reason I'm getting surgery in to first place.I will not give up until the wheels fall off(fat). In another note my classes are speeding by I see my surgeon on may 6th for my pre-op eval and schedule my pre-op testing at that time and get my date which they believe will be so time in late June that sounds great to me at least I'll get to feel sexy this summer instead of waiting a year to enjoy the fruits of my labor...lately at the gym my major areas of concern are my arms, abs, and inner thighs I go 5 days a week and I" GET IT IN "after surgery I'm sure the beauty underneath will shine through..good luck and blessings to you all..To be continued......

Transform Myself

Mar 24, 2010

Well a week ago I decided to start my 30 day slim down to challenge myself and guess what?..I'm doing great I've started using all the new weight loss tools I purchased...mainly the food scale, drinking meal replacements for breakfast since I'm not a breakfast eater, and getting that 3mile power walk in. The good news is I'm noticing some change and makes me confident in my abilities to accept the changes ahead.......And I'm also excited to say I joined a newly opening gym in my neighborhood today in preparation,I'm halfway through my classes time is really flying soon and very soon I'll be on the other-side.I'm happy that my mind is starting to take this change very serious and starting early will make it that more easy when the time comes...Peace and blessing to you all until the next update..thank you so much for stopping by and taking a small glimpse into my journey...
