I am probably like many other women that was born into a very plus size family, filled with very large, plus size, well endowed women.  I started gaining weight since the age of 11.  I would always roller coaster up and down throughout the years but the weight really started coming on after the birth of my children.  After the birth of my first child, I was able to lose about 20 pounds on my own and keep it off for about a year.  But then I got pregnant with my second child and really ballooned, however, I was able to lose about 65 pounds on my own after being disgusted with not being able to fit into any of my smaller clothes.  Well life started to happen, and emotional trauma and  stress bought on new changes.  I got pregnant with my third child after coming out of a very abusive relationship.  The  depression, stress, and turmoil that that bought on led me to the largest I had ever been where  I found myself weighing in at 270 lbs.

As the years went by I tried everything from Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig, laxatives and diet pills and nothing seem to work!  My health started to decline where I started developing High Blood Pressure and suffering from Osteoarthritis.   I considered Gastric Bypass because it seemed like nothing else was helping to take off the weight.  So after researching this surgery for about a year, I decided to do it with my husband's full support!  Even though he felt I was beautiful and sexy already, he respected my decision to get healthy and feel good about me again!  I told my 3 children when I got close to surgery as I was very careful in not telling too many people about something I wanted for me.  So on  March 27, 2009 I had RNY surgery and it, totally changed my life!.   I will never regret my decision and thank God for giving doctors the wisdom and knowledge to perform a surgery such as this.  Currently I have lost 43 pounds and  I feel fabulous.  My knees don't hurt anymore, no more hot spots in my legs, or shortness of breath, my pressure has gone done and I have not had any asthma attacks since my surgery.

If I can encourage anybody by my story, I know that my surgery was not in vain.  Whether you are considering surgery or need inspiration during the journey, I am here for you wholeheartedly.  Simply drop me a line or two and let's talk.  God bless and look forward to hearing from you soon...
