Almost a month out...

I have not posted on my profile in a while, so I thought this was a good time to blog about the most amazing month ever.I had my surgery on February 26, 2010. Two weeks pre-op I began this journey at 290 lbs. I lost 12 lbs during my two week pre-op liquid diet. I was thrilled about that because I had never really lost weight before....always gained. At 1.5 weeks out, I had lost a total of 30 lbs, but regained some back at 2 weeks. I did not quite understand that my body was in shock and that my weight may fluctuate at first. I ended up getting very upset, and as a result, my daughter hid the scale from me!! I have decided to weigh on the 26th of each month, as well as take pictures and measurments. That is just two days away! I know that I am making progress because I am now in a size 18/20 pants, from a 22/24!! I had to go buy two new pairs of slacks for work!!! I had a small NSV last weekend, I went to Old Navy to buy exercise pants/tops. I just knew I could fit into their XXL with no problems now. I bought pants, tank top and went out on a limb and bought a long sundress!!! I went home to try them on and they DIDN'T fit.....they were TOO BIG!! I was dancing and clapping!! It felt good!!!
I LOVE my sleeve and look forward to many more non-scale and scale victories!!
