Fall is tomorrow, 4th year WLS Anniversary - A new me....
Sep 21, 2010
I should probably be ashamed of myself, but I am not. It has been my fourth year since surgery, yea for me!! Yes, I have gained some weight back but at the same time, I am much, much, less smaller, than what I was. I am still glad I did have the surgery, it was one of those things that you will never regret.I still have my appetite, but of course, I do not pig out. I am grateful for a second chance at living a good life, without all of the morbid obesity, staring down at me. I am glad I choose Dr. Sonnatine, although I have not seen him or been to his office in about 2 years. I would go visit him, if I needed to, or if I was having issues, but all is well. I did not have any complications. My thoughts here are to encourage others that are thinking about the surgery and yes, sometimes ones have problems, but I did not. So, just letting you realize there are risk, but on the other hand, nothing bad happens either. I do not know what your body can handle, but I will state, research, go to a lecture, speak with a reliable doctor, and then make your decision, do not be hasty. Weigh all the things you know to be true and follow your gut!
I am glad that I did. I hope you will too.
Now, I am going to exercise, because I believe, big or small our bodies need to move...besides after a while you enjoy the idea of exercise and moving, benefits come emotionally, physically and spiritually. Welcome to my world, jump in the water is fine.....Come and join me [:0)
