Thomas Sonnanstine M.D.

"Dr.Sonnanstine was very personalable and very informative at my first meeting with him, which was in a informal group seminar. There were many of us there and he answer all of our questions with the greatest of ease. rnHe told us that he teaches other Doctors in third world countries the proper procedures to WLS. This was very impressive. So far, he has done the most LAP WLS, then any other Doctor in the Tri-State area. He told us that if we chose to go through with the surgery, he would be our doctor for life and he wanted to see us at least 6 times per year. This surgery is a life long committment, on our part and his. One of his staff members was attending the seminar and she had the surgery, we were encouraged to ask her anything and again she was very informative. He did not do the surgery on those that smoked, we would have to quit if we wanted the surgery. He told us both the pros and the cons of the surgery. It is only a tool and is not to be taken lightly. Although it is elective surgery we have to be committed to do this for life. We would meet with him first one on one, and then a psych, then a Nut, plus we would have to attend 4 Nutritional classes before we would be eligible to have the surgery. He would do the surgery on anyone between the age of 18 to 75. He can do both the Lap band and the Lap RYN. He encourages us to do the Lap RYN, because that is where his expertise lies. I really was impressed and excited to continue my journey with this Dr. I encourage all that are interested in Northern Ky and Greater Cincinnati area to seek out Dr. Sonnanstine first and compare, his abilities with all other Drs. offering the same WLS.rnWhen I first went in for my consultation his staff took my picture so that they could put a face with my name, he encourages his whole staff to get to know us all. I love the atmosphere of the office and the staff. Dr. Sonnanstine was just as personable with the group as one on one.rnI had to pay $300 in order to continue and before the surgery would have to have the last $300 paid in full to pay for the program fee, which included my 4 Nutrition Classes, my one on one with the Psych and Nutritionalist. rnDr. Sonnanstine told me of both the risks and the benefits of each operation, he let me choose. I rate him as one of the best in his field. He was not pushy but at the same time he was confident with his abilities to help me as much as I was committed to be helped.rnI am looking forward to continuing a life long relationship with this compentent Dr. Don't forget to check him out, it will be quite an experience. rnDid I mention that he has also helped ones that had to have revisions due to other Dr.s incompentence? A sign of a very capable Dr. rnrnI went back to Dr. Tom for my check up and the staff stated that they did not receive the rest of my program fee. I owed them another $300, and I ask if I could give her half and she agreed. So I must have forgotten to finish paying my Dr. Not good on my part!! I still owe $150 but she stated that I could pay a little each month. I was fine with that. I saw Dr. Tom and he was pleased with my progress and said that I would see him again in 6 months. So I am well pleased with him as a Surgeon and his staff as ones that will work with their patients. The staff has always encouraged me to call them if I have any questions or complications. This makes me very satisfied in knowing that I choose the right Weight Loss Center for my needs. Did I also mention that Dr. Sonnanstine and his staff were now a facility that was awarded a Weight Loss Center with the name of \"Weight Loss Center of Excellence\"? Yes, and also Dr. Thomas Sonnanstine was voted as Dr. Dreamy!! There was a contest with Grey's Anatomy, that ones had to vote on their choice of a \"Dr. Dreamy\" and he was one of them. Now that makes a great testamony of the type of Dr. and staff that anyone in the Greater Cincinnati, Tri-State area are looking for WLS should consider. Go check it out, you won't be sorry!! It can only change your life!! "

Unflavored Protein Powder

"This product taste horrid! Although it is a good source of protein, I am not impressed. It is grainy and leaves a bad aftertaste in your mouth."

St Luke West

"I was in semi private room, but they moved the other bed out of the room. Making it a private room. The problem was the patient across the hall from me was having major issues, i.e. crying out in pain, coughing, vomiting, and I feel that if I had not had the surgeon I did; I could have been that person. St. Luke West needs to accommodate their patients and make sure they are getting the care that they need. A hospital should be in the business to help make sick people well, not make them sicker. I do not recommend this hospital. I will be having all other surgeries at St. Elizabeth South, my favorite hospital."
