1 pound

Fingers crossed I have made it through the three week stall. The scale moved down one pound. I will take it. Dealing with constipation, but working with propobotics and stool softners. Fortunately or unfortunately I am used to this as before surgery I had the same problems. Walked last night between the waves of rain in the area. Trying to make sure I get at least 30 minutes of walking in every day.
14 Days

I can't believe it has been two weeks. I am working most days from home. I have gone into the office, but that does seem to wear me out. I have noticed that if I eat or drink too fast, I do get a slight tightness in my chest. I ate some mashed meatloaf, yum! Each day is a new opportunity.
1/6 of the way!

The first 25 are gone. I am pleased to say, it wasn't as hard or scary as some people have written about here. I know the road ahead will take diligence and hard work. Still on the fence as to if I am going to physically go into the office next week. I have been working from home since I got home from the hospital.
Home from Hospital

Tired, sore and thirsty. Originally only scheduled for one night, but stayed two. Hope my cash price included the extra night. I have always had trouble with pain medicine and this surgery wasn't any different. I am keeping everything down - yay! Clear liquids until next Monday. Trying to keep walking every hours and sipping on water. Did manager five sips of protein drink in three hours. Gotta be a caterpillar before becoming a butterfly!

I am calm, I am trying to drink as much water as I can so I am not so dehydrated in the morning for the IV. Doctor's staff says one night, hospital says pack for two. I have three different rides for each day since I have no clue what time they might release me. Hubby is on his second week at new job so he won't be able to stay with me, but he will drop me off and then come after work and spend the night. We took the before pictures and did the weight and messurements. Can't wait to do it again in two weeks. For those that are doing surgeries this week - good luck and may your journey be amazing.
The journey starts tomorrow

Tomorrow I start my pre-surgery liquid diet. I have many types of protein drinks and powders and soups to choose from. I purchased all of the liquid vitamins and I have installed a mini fridge in my office and filled it with water and protein drinks. I woke up today with a head cold/virus. Taking over the counter medication as it doesn't seem to be baterical. Fingers crossed my surgery isn't delayed because of this.
