ok sooo today is tuesday march 9th....hard to believe i have just 8 days left till baby Iley Michael (girl) is here. Seemed like just yesterday i found i was going to have her.... a big surprise to me....being only 7 months out to the day .... this pregnancy has been really good...much easier than my last two(pre op) not having diabetes or high blood pressure is such a blessing esp when your expecting...we are blessed....
soon after i have her i will continue to try to loose weight tho...being pregnant gave me such an appetite... but of course it was also an excuse to eat for me i was one of those who could eat more...the hormones do that to u...but all in all i have not gained more than 19 lbs...which is pretty darn good to me...should come off rather fast then i will be back on my mission...anyway...i will be gone for about 8 weeks and will post my story when i get back...

yep we are having a baby..I am both scared and excited! I know I am not alone on this one...meaning scared things go well for both of us...I just want to say thanks to everyone who has supported me or given encouragement...PRAYERS are needed I know there are some wonderful christian ppl here ...and when u ask for prayer I believe you are lifted up in earnest prayer ... anyway again thanks ..

OK I HAD MY SURGERY DEC 1....I AM DOING REALLY WELL...I HAVE LOST ABOUT 50 LBS (13) BEFORE SURGERY...IT'S NOT WHAT I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE...I THOUGHT I WOULD BE MUCH MORE SICK...
AT THIS POINT I CAN EAT ABOUT A CUP OF FOOD IF IT IS NOT A SLIDER FOOD...I MEASURE EVERYTHING. I AM SO SCARED THAT AT THIS POINT I START TO GAIN WEIGHT....I DO EXERCISE AT LEAST 3 TIMES A WEEK..AND LONGER EACH TIME...I AM WORKING UP TO DOING A HOUR ON THE TREADMILL ( 40 MIN ) AT THIS TIME. AND I WALK ON AN INCLINE....
I HAVE TO ADMIT IT HAS ME A LITTLE DEPRESSED THAT I CAN EAT...DID NOT EXPECT THIS.
I DO HAVE TO BE CAREFUL ABOUT WHAT I PUT INTO MY MOUTH... I WATCH CARBS...AND SUGAR...AS WE SHOULD...JUST AM SCARED TO BE ONE OF THOSE PPL WHO FAIL AT THIS....

OK MY PRE TESTING BEGINS THE 17TH (NOV) AND MY FIRST TEST IS THE SCOPE ...YUCK!! AND NUTRITION CLASSES (2) ...THEN CARDIO TEST ....(THEY DIDN'T TELL ME ABOUT THOSE COST.) 3 DAYS OF TESTING AND BY THE 25TH I WILL BE DONE...THEN READY FOR SURGERY...!!

ok...today 10/30/08 after several calls to check with my ins to see if they reveived my paper work form the Dr. and they adv me they got it 10/17/08 (previous call) but the nice lady I spoke to today says that they gave the paperwork to MetCom ( who reviewes it ) and that it would be at least another 2 weeks but they had up to 30 days to review the claim.....so instead of waiting 4 weeks like i thought from the 17th ...I possibly have to wait another 4 weeks...this sucks....

ok..soo I finished all the pre requirements to submit my request to the Ins. co I am not sure how this will go my ins requires 5 yrs medical history showing you have been over weight. I am missing a year (2007) of any recorded weight. I have seen my PCP steady for the last 6 months which they also require...also have diabetes and high blood pressure. I am very stressed about this..as I am sure many ppl get that way waiting for their insurance.

WELL. I WENT TO SEE THE SURGEON...SHE (DR CHU..LAFAYETTE , LOUISIANA) SAID I WAS A CANDIDATE FOR THE SURGERY..I COULD TELL SHE WAS TIRED...AND SO WAS I ...I GOT THERE AT 11:15 MY APPT WAS AT 11:30 BUT I DID NOT SEE HER TILL JUST AFTER 2:30...THAT PART WAS NOT FUN...WAITING TO SEE HER SEEMED TO TAKE FOREVER..I DID NOT HAVE ALL THE PAPER WORK SHE NEEDED SOOO TOMORROW I WILL GET IT TO HER. THEN THEY WILL BE ABLE TO SEND IT OFF TO THE INSURANCE...AND I SUPPOSE I SHOULD HEAR SOMETHING FROM THEM IN A COUPLE OF WEEKS OR A MONTH...I WANT THIS SURGERY DONE BEFORE THE END OF THE YEAR..MY BROTHER AND TWO OTHER CO WORKERS HAVE HAD THIS DONE AND WE ALL WORK FOR THE SAME COMPANY. REALLY I DON'T SEE WHY I WOULD NOT BE APPROVED. IT IS JUST A MATTER OF WAITING TO HEAR BACK...BUT I GUESS U NEVER KNOW. I AM SOOO READY TO HAVE THIS DONE...

I am Kimberly....I am 35 yrs old and am tipping the scales at 360 (5-10) I was doing research on sergerys (my Dr has recommended this to me for over two years ) and I came across this sight. Lots of helpful info here.
At this point I am just starting out. I have lots of questions...I am scared but I WANT TO LIVE....I know my life was not ment to be in this situation and my kids...my wonderful kids deserve a mommy that can do things with them. My weight stops me from doing many things..I am not unable to go places and do things ...I just don't enjoy them ....This is a journey just begining.... I still dont know if my insurance will pay for the sergery....so if anyone has any helpful advise ....please ...share with me......
