Hello there everyone!!! Well i want to share a little bit of my life with you. I have been thinking about surgery for about two years now and i finally just had enough with the way i looked and felt, like most people i just felt like when i looked in the mirror i just wanted to cry because i felt so entraped in this body being overweight. I was not actually obese until after high school, i noticed that my pant size jumped from size 11 to a size 22! I couldnt belive i was gaining and gaining weight each year. Right now i am 310 pounds i am 5'7" tall and the heaviest weight was in the beginning of this year at 330 pounds! I decided that i wanted a better life and want to be healthier so i finally went to see Dr. Higa in Fresno, CA. It actually took me a while to get an appointment with him, it was almost 2 months! It felt so good to finally start this journey to feeling good about myself and being healthy. It has been a struggle doing all the pre-op stuff like seeing a nutritionist and all the other stuff, i finally went for another follow up appointment because the first one i had with Dr. Higa was over 6 months old and that took around a month or so to get in for a visit. I went for my follow up on Nov. 6 and my authorization from the insurance came back within a week!!! Yeah i couldnt believe it either. I have surgery coming up on January 5 2009 and i am not really scared, i am excited, cannot wait!!!
