Well I'm home from surgery & healing fine. I've lost a total of 31 lbs! I'm very happy about that! But it seems to be "stuck" right there for now. I was really sore after surgery, but they really controlled the pain. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. It really helped to get up and walk. Unfortunately, I have had to have alot of surgeries. This was one of the better experiences with surgery that I have had. I wish everyone could have such good people taking care of them! The post-op diet is not very fun. I thought I was going to die on the Clear Liquid Diet. I hate jello as it is. I am now on Full Liquid and that is some better. I never thought I would be so excited to eat Pureed food! I now am having issues trying to get in all of the protein supplements that they want me to. I'm sure I will get the hang of it, it has only been a week! Hope you all are doing great! :)

It has been only 9 days and I have already lost 10 lbs! I love this pre-op diet! The first day was sooo hard! I was really hungary. But after the first day, the hunger goes away. Then you don't have to really worry about what you are going to eat because you are having to drink the protein supplements. By suppertime, I am getting a little hungary, and it is time to eat 3-4 oz protein, 1 cup veges, 1/2-1 cup fruit...it is so simple. The hardest part has been drinking so much water. You have to drink water all day. (Which we will have to do anyway after surgery) But I am a Diet Cokeaholic. I have had severe withdrawals. And I won't lie, I've cheated. Every now and then, when I pass by the fridge, I have stolen a swig. However, I am trying with all of my heart to stop. I am so excited now that I am actually seeing real weight loss!!

If you would have ever told me that I would be excited about being on a diet, I would have told you that you were crazy!! I start my pre-op liquid diet tomorrow....and I CAN'T WAIT! I am so excited about this surgery and my new life. I'm sure that this diet will be really difficult. But I am ready to do whatever it takes. Now, when I start whining about how hard that it is in a few days, you guys can remind me of this!  How are you guys doing??

I'm soo excited!!! They set my date for April 6th. I will start my pre-op liquid diet on March 5th. It is so wonderful to know you finally have confirmation.....
