Looking Forward To..

Jan 21, 2008

Tomorrow is my first post op with the surgeon and dietician.  I'm looking forward to having my diet change and knowing more about what the next several weeks bring.  It is hard to be patient.

Ok...Not So Bad

Well,  I'm back on track and feeling like I've overcome the little setback in the beginning.  I'm sipping, sipping, sipping and hoping the pounds will be falling, falling, falling.

Feeling Like Crap

Jan 10, 2008

My first full day at home was terrible.  Nausea, pain, ick.  I went back to the hospital for more pain meds and some anti-nausea help.  Luckily I don't have a leak, but probably just reacting to the anesthesia.  This sucks....

Back Home Now

Jan 08, 2008

I just got home from the surgery and can't believe that the surgery is over.  My pain was/is very managable.  The staff at St. Joe's in St. Paul were awesome.

I'll admit I was a basket of nerves when I first arrrived at the hopsital, but quickly it turned into excitiement and then it was over.  I walked repeatedly at the hopsital and tried to rest but by active as well.

Tomorrow's The Day

Jan 06, 2008

Well, tomorrow's the day.  Right now my stomach feels excited, nervous and sick all at the same time.  Of course, it could be the "make ya" poop drink I took about 3pm

My sister gave me a courage angel because I've decided to have this surgery and today it is really hitting me that I have the courage to do this.  The courage to do all of steps to get approved for WLB, to meet the "head doc", to change my eating per instructions from the dietician, to admit to my family that my weight is a concern of mine and I'm going to change it.  I do have courage!
