I can't believe that a site that I logged onto several times a day I have not been on in TWO YEARS.....TWO YEARS!!!!! And one thing I know now is that I NEED OH!!!!!! Time to put in some work! Love and BLESSINGS to you all!!!!!

but I am back!!!!!!! This journey has been a long road but after 3 1/2 years I am finally understanding what it's all about!!!! I praise GOD for this gift and I am gonna make it!!!!

My life changed forever on November 28, 2005! I am still a work in progress and working towards my goal but I am so BLESSED to have been given a 2nd chance at life!!!! I am making a pledge TODAY to work my tool to the fullest!!!!

Hello! It has been a year since I had WLS and what a journey it has been! It was ALOT harder then I thought it would be, but through the grace of God I made it.  A year ago I was 330 lbs and as of last Tuesday I am 215 lbs. Thank you all so much for your love and support. At times when I was gonna give up...you would not let me and I am forever grateful.
Also thank you for your posts, prayers, emails, e-cards, and messages I received about my car accident. I am on the mend and I start PT on Thursday for my back.

August 8,2006-Hello!!! I just wanted to update you on my journey! I went to see my PCP on Monday, July 31 and I am down 95 lbs!!!!! The weightloss slowed down some....and I got off track a little but all is good now and I am committed to my journey more the ever. I am exercising 6 days a week and making healthy food choices. Also I have joined a program that is ran by the University of Pittsburgh's Center for Minority Health called The Healthy Black Family Project. They offer alot of fitness and health classes including Water Aerobics...and they are all FREE!!!! I went for my fitness assessment today and I can't wait to start!! Also I am proud to announce that I have a new Angelette, Erica Gordon!!! I am honored to be her Angel and I will do my best to offer her all of my support through her journey. June 21 ,2006- It has been a while since I have updated. This journey is harder then I thought and now my will power is really being tested. Yes, I am an emotional eater and lately alot has been going on in my life.....the divorce, confirmation of custody, and crazy ex-inlaws.... that has caused me to slip up, but the devil will NOT steal my joy and my success so I am making a pledge to get back on the right track and make the most out of my tool!!! I am down to 243lbs a total weightloss of 87 pounds. The weightloss has slowed alittle but, hey, when can I say that I ever lost 87 pounds in 7 months!!!! March 6,2006- I just came back from getting my B-12 shot and I have lost........71 lbs.... down to 259!!!!!! Life is so good and I feel so Blessed!!! Well, last weekend I noticed that my hair is becoming very thin on the sides and my hair is shedding. I heard that this could happened and I am now taking Biotin and I got some hair food from the local beauty supply store Maggie's. Hopefully this will grow my hair back. But, life is GRAND....I never knew it could be this good. Blessings, Tonya

March 29,2006- Hello all! I just had my 4 month post-op appointment with Dr.Gagne and I have lost 80 lbs....I know weigh 250!!!! I am so excited and still getting used to the new me! So much has changed for me already. My confidence has come back and I can not stop smiling...I am soooooo happy! Also, I am becoming a little flirt...smile!!! Also my daughter Jada told me every feature that is different and everyday tells me how nice I look....I have the sweetest daughter! Sometimes I just stare in the mirror and can not believe it's me! I know that I have some way to go but I am already at a better place and I thank God every day for giving me a second chance at life.

February 9,2006- Hello all! This past weekend I had a BALL at BAF's DC/MD/VA Meet and Greet!!!! Everyone looked GREAT and it was finally nice to meet the folks that give me so support and love. A BIG shout out to my Angel Honey Bee (Dionne) and her husband Jay for making me feel so at home. Love ya'll!!!! I got some very good news today.....my Angelette June Cooper has a date for surgery, Feb 21st!!!!! I am so happy for her! Again, thank you for your continued support and until next time.....Blessings!!!

February 21,2006- Make room for another Loser!!!!!!!June's husband Neal just called me at work to give me the wonderful news that she is out of surgery and it was a SUCCESS. She is in recovery now and resting. Thank you all for your prayers and well wishes!

January 10, 2006-Happy New Year!!! God has Blessed me in so many ways. Inow weigh 289lbs,41 lbs. lighter and feeling great!!!!! I had a wonderful Birthday dinner this evening at Uno's! The kids had a good time making their own pizza. I ate smart. I ordered the grilled chicken w/steamed veggies.I can make about four meals out of it!!!! I got alot of wonderful gifts--- new luggage for my trip next month to the BAF DC Meet & Greet, clothes, gift cards, a watch, and money. Plus I treated myself to a Tiffany's bracelet with the toggle clasp and I had the heart engraved! It is beautiful!!! And my co-workers were so sweet today. They decorated my desk with streamers and a Happy Birthday sign and gave me some beautiful presents as well!!! I had a great day and I am looking forward to 2006. Love, Tonya

January 25,2006- Hello all! I just came back from my 2 month follow-up appointment and I have lost......53 pounds...down to 277!!! I feel great and very Blessed. I had a bowling party for my daughter Jada this past Saturday and I bowled 2 games straight, wasn't tired or anything, before surgery I probably wouldn't have bowled at all! It seems like all I want to do is be on the go! Again, I can not thank you enough for all of your love and support.

December 10,2005- I had my follow-up appointment with Dr.Gagne's office on Thursday, Dec 8th and I lost 19pounds since surgery, I am now 311!!! I am so excited and very pleased with my WLS. Nicole,Dr.Gagne's PA, told me that I can start soft foods today so I can't wait to see what the pouch likes! I am in no pain...stopped taking the Roxicet this past Tuesday and I feel good. Also on Thursday, I received a wonderful suprise! My job sent me a beautiful plant with Carnations!!! The card that was attached had a very heart warming message. Back to work on Monday!

December 14,2005- On Sunday the 11th, I felt awful. Everytime I tried to stand up I felt as if I was going to faint. So I went to the West Penn Hospital's ER and found out that I was severly dehydrated and my iron levels were really low, down to a six. While I was in the hospital they ran every test they could and even gave me another EGD. There was no blockage and no leaks so all was good. After pumping me up with fluids and 2 units of blood I was finally released today and I feel so much better. All I can say is PLEASE get your liquids in... SIP, SIP, SIP!!!!! I had to learn the hard way!

December 23,2005-Hello! This past Wednesday evening I had to take my daughter Jada to the ER at Children's (she had an accident at school but she is okay, praise God!!!)
Well I got on the scales while we were waiting for the Dr. to come in and even with snow boots, jeans(that are falling off my azz!!!), and a sweater on, I am down 34 pounds in 3 1/2 weeks, I am now 296 lbs!!!!
This IS going to be a Merry Christmas!!!
