5 Months!

Mar 07, 2012

Ehh almost five months anyways. So far I have lost 73 lbs. It really is a struggle for me, I am on this constant diet, except for the weekend. I  allow myself to eat what I want. I am usually a healthy eater so my volume of food goes up on the weekend or I would go plum loco and say forget it. I love food! I am a food addict for sure. I make no claims of being a saint. I noticed I can eat about eight oz of steak which I barely every eat red meat but when I did, I couldn't believe how easy it was for me to eat a whole steak (not steak crumbs like others claim they can only eat) B/S. I can eat! My Dr. used a 34 french boughie so you would think I shouldn't be able to eat so much. I wish I had a smaller sleeve. Oh well, I have to work with what I have.

I go to the gym twice a week. I ride the bike for 60 minutes do the tread mill for 20 minutes & lift weights. I stay at least two hours at the gym twice a week & on most weekends I go out to the dessert and ride my quad. That is exercise & it gets me out of the house & for the most part away from food.

My calorie intake during  the week ranges between from 920-1200. On the weekend, that is another story.

I feel it is important to be honest with myself & to my blog in case someone is reading this in hopes of getting the VSG surgery, I just want that person to be aware their are others who have had the VSG & it has been a struggle to loose the weight.

When I was investigating the VSG I bought into it hook line and sinker! I was like, what, no hunger! Hell yeah! Ummm I have total hunger. And like I said it is like being on a diet! Still happy I did it though. I think I would have went for the DS if I had to do it all over again.
