Hello, my name is Carmen. I am 28 yrs old. I am a single mom with 2 wonderful children. Luis and Crystal. I was born in Chicago and my parents are from Guanajuato, Mexico. I have been chubby all my life. I remember weighing over 260lbs when I was 14 yrs. old. In H.S. during senior yr. I weigh 196lbs. WOW! Yes, I lost alot of weight. Because I was taking diet pills and I had turned vegetarian. I have been researching WLS for the past 3 yrs now. Have been denied every yr. I am appealing this yr. Hope to GOD I get the approval this time. I have BC/BS, they are the hardest ins. I have ever dealt with. At first I wanted to get the RNY, but now hereing all these stories about people regaining the weight back, I want the DS.
