I am stuck in BANDSTER HELL...it has a name, can you believe that???  Evidently it is the time between surgery and first fill after your surgery swelling goes down and you have little restriction...
It is kicking my butt...
I loved the feel of restriction the two weeks after surgery...but now, I am hungry 2 hours after I eat...AGONY...
I am trying to eat small amounts and eat healthy...
And I finally broke down and joined a gym!  I am really excited to start a routine of exercise...
My first fill is December 11th...it won't get here quick enough...
PRAY FOR ME TOMORROW...THANKSGIVING!!!!

Ok...I had my surgery on the 29th of October...it went great...(other than the horrific gas...ugh) And when they got in there, they found a hernia and repaired it too!  (THANKS DR. ANTONETTI)
At first, I struggled with the OBSESSION of food...or lack there of...watching tv was the killer...EVERY OTHER COMMERCIAL is food!  And NOT healthy food...pizza, burgers, cookies...it was agony...
But I'm moving on from that...trying to get all my protein in...walking about a mile a day...and I am down to 295!!  I can't beleive it...it is WORTH all the work! 
AND IT IS WORK!!!  Not a walk in the park...and the pounds do not come off by themselves!
I have NEVER been this excited about my future...I feel like the possibilities are endless...

I can not believe it is time to do this...I have a flood of feelings right now, but I know that I've made the right choice.
I hope I can sleep tonight...I have to get up between 4-4:30 a.m. to be at the hospital by 6:00...eekkk!!  But at least I will get to sleep during...ha ha!

I more than likely will not have computer access after today until I return to work. I am scheduled to be back on November 17th.

Thank you all for your support, prayers and concern!!!  This time tomorrow, I WILL BE A BANDSTER!!!  WOO HOO!!

Yes, I am scared to death...I looked into the face of my 3 year old precious little girl and busted out crying Saturday. I know that Dr. Antonetti will take VERY good care of me...I guess I am just filled with all sorts of emotions right now...Will be VERY glad when the surgery is over...

I had my last visit with Dr. Antonetti yesterday...he poped a quiz on me, that devil....but I was very proud that I answered all correctly!!!  The only thing I have left to do is stick to my diet and show up for surgery!!  Nervous but excited...pretty sure this is the smartest decision I've ever made...ok, one of the smartest...

I did all my pre-op stuff yesterday...all execpt my visti with Dr. Antonetti and I will see him on the 16th.  I had blood drawn, EKG, chest x-ray and an interview with the nurse. (Just a bunch of health questions...not bad...my nurse was cool, her husband had Lap-band surgery back in May with Dr. Givens!) What a small world...

Then I had my DVT...ultrasound of  the veins in my legs...for those of you that have never had an ultrasound, they squirt some gooey stuff on you and roll this thick "wand" over your skin and take pics of what is inside...it is nothing to it...

Then I had my class with Lynn (aka Hitler)...I love her to death...mainly because she tells it like it is...warts and all...all the info that you need to know to have this surgery is in this class...that is why they will not let you have the surgery until you attend.
Then Emily  (nutritionist) came in and gave us all the info on the FOOD side of this deal.  You can eat, you just gotta know how much and WHAT you can eat...I am excited and know now that I will be successful with these tools they gave me.

***NEWS FLASH****...
FOUND A WONDERFUL PROTEIN DRINK...not a shake, so it isn't very good for pre-op diet...but at least I am getting the protein...if you like coffee, you will LOVE Achiev one Mocha Java...I can't wait to try the French Vanilla and the Cappucino...

Yep, it is that time already...all of my pre-op appointments are tomorrow...
Don't really know what to expect other than the ultra sound of my legs...and the class that Lynn teaches.  So, we will see what happens!

So, my journey to find liquid protein before my surgery continues...and new friend,

turned me onto this awesome website and I ordered a kit with a few different samples...let's pray I can stomach one or two of those!!!

Here we go...I am scheduled to see Emily, the dietician, on the 30th...I am sure this means I will be put on the "shrink-your-liver-in-a-month-or-else" diet...I don't mind...let's shrink it up!!!  There is no stopping me now...(well, there probably could be, but we won't think about that!!)
