Almost two years out. I still need to drop 20 more pounds. Life has had ups and downs. Taking care of a mother in end stage Alzheimers has not been easy mentaly or dealing with old bad eating habits. Sometimes the old ways rear their ugly heads but I have perservered.
One of my goals was to get OFF disablilty and go back to work. And mission accomplished. Yes, I feel better. Yes I can do more, Yes I look better. Men even open doors for me and smile at me. That was hard to deal with. I still have to carry my old photos. When I see folks I know and say hi they have no idea who I am. So I whip out a photo and they drop theirs jaws.
I see so many people that need weight help. I try to keep my mouth shut. So personal. But if anyone asks they get the story.
One thing, I still think my seeing a "head" doc made a big difference for me. And I would reccommend everyone looking into this surgery to get their "heads" just as prepared.
Just my thought.
Best to all
