In 1980 I weighed 150 lbs. That was before the pain and crazy symptoms started. After fifteen years of being told I was mental and it was all in my head, I finally got a diagnosis of Fibromyalgia. By then my weight was completely out of control. By 2007 the pain had grown almost unbearable and I weighted 315 lbs. I don't think I could have gone on for much longer. If I was on my feet for over 5 minutes I was dying in pain. Both my knees were so bad the Ortho said I needed replacement surgery but he would not touch me unless I lost 100 lbs. I had to go into a wheel chair for anything that would require walking.I stayed so depressed I was almost suicidal. It was time for me to do something. Surgery seemed to be the only answer. I will never reqret WLS. It saved my life.
