I have been overweight since puberty and steadily gained from there. After a recent back surgery and the doc telling me that I had to do something or I risked losing my nursing career and my life, it was time to make a big change. I will have RNY on Dec 18th in Lafayette,La which is 3 hrs from my homeparish of St Bernard, La. The insurance company has made me jump threw hoops in order to have the RNY but I was happy to do it. As of now, I am anxiously waiting my surgery date.
