Congratulations on your marriage! My surgery is scheduled for August 24th and I can't wait! As for the wedding and marriage, don't forget that you're still going through a lot after the surgery. My husband and I will be married 12 years in September, it's not all "picture perfect", but I'd do it again in a heartbeat!
You'll get through it - just remember to communicate, communicate, communicate!
“Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgment that something else is more important than fear” –Ambrose Redmoon Congratulations on taking this scary, albeit life-saving, step on your journey to a healthier you. I pray that your surgery will go smoothly and your recovery will be quick.

Well, I am one week away from surgery. Tomorrow is my pre-op testing. I keep getting tiny, little pangs of fear and doubt, but they seem to go away when I look in the mirror or try on another pair of pants that don't fit or have a child ask me about why I have a "big belly." I will keep you posted as to what my condition is, physically and mentally. Thank you all for being such a help and for all of the support.
