Waiting Game

My PCP tried to get a referral authorized for Dr. Juarez, but before my insurance will approve even a consultation, I have to have 9 months of supervised diet, 6 months of physical therapy, and a visit to a nutritionist.  So I got my referrals and am about to make the appointments. I really don't want to have to go through 9 months of a supervised diet, I mean, if a supervised diet would work, I wouldn't need the surgery, right? But I'm going to do what I have to do. I only hope that after all this, they'll approve it.
