My story is very similar to everyone elses.... I've struggled with weight loss my entire life.
my grandfather used to call me "tree stump" because I was solid as a tree stump.. He died when I was in 1st grade or so, if he saw how big I got he would probably call me titanic or something else HUGE!!! 
My other "moment" was in the 6th grade we had to do the physical fitness testing, and I remember some smart a** probably skinny girl, standing behind me yelling to everyone OMG Debbie is 152... 
yup 6th grade. Then in 1986 and 1988 I had my 2 sons, baby weight... 22 years later. Needless to say, I crawled (didn't even see it climbing up there) to 298 pounds, and thought, well atleast I'm not 300!! 
I had all these people around me telling me what a fabulous person you are, I work for Cardiologists who had the gall to say "your not fat" I threated to have their medical licenses revoked ! But to them, fat people can't move around, dress nice or have a great personality, they all should be miserable, ugly, mean people. Sooooo I wasn't fat, just unhappy with myself but with a "pretty face". 
I chose to make the decision now, 4 days before my 45th birthday... my kids are grown, have their own independent lives and after raising them alone for their entire life, ready to focus on me and my health and life! 
They are very supportive, but they were still wondering "why" I needed to do this, I was fine and beautiful in their eyes.
March 4th came and I actually can't beleive I went through with it.... So happy I did.
I am beginning month 5 now and have gone from a size 26/28 pants and 3X shirts to a loose 18 pants almost 16's and Lg shirt.... OMG also, I went from a 46DD to a 36C hmmm not sure about that one!
kind of liked the girls... lol
So I appreciate any words of wisdom, encouragement and advice anyone can provide, I am always open to making new friends and of course helping others on this crazy, wild, frustrating but ultimately fabulous experience into total health!
