I have been overweight most of my adult life...came to a head after my daughter was born 14 years ago. It never occurred to me to ask about Weight Loss Surgery. So glad I finally did, even if it was 13 years later. I have severe osteo-arthritis in both knees and sometimes have to use a walker. My osteo-surgeon will not replace them, he says I am too young and to come back in 15 years. Grand.
I was referred by my GP in March 2011 and had my Orientation on July 15, 2011 at the Ottawa Civic Campus. We were told we would be called in 8-9 months to 'start the process'. I can't wait!!!
