I saw Dr. Wynn for the first time in January, 2005. I thought I was ready then, but it turned out I wasn't. I now know this is because it was not meant for me to have the bypass, but the lap-band. I'm a big believer in "it happens for a reason." Also, after my appt., I entered a managed weight loss program with a dietician, which I would have needed anyway for insurance purposes.
So, I started again my journey to weight loss surgery on Aug. 24, 2007 when I saw Dr. Wynn again for my consultation. I am now going through the process of seeing the doctors and having the tests needed to be approved. I am nervous but excited. I even have my tentative surgery date scheduled for November 12th :-)
