Hello hello! It's time for a quick update. I went to NASCAR this last weekend in Dallas. OMG what a total freakin' blast!!!!!!!! I loveeeeeeeeee Tony Stewart - OMG he is HOT!!!!! 



But other than that, we had a total blast. Spent way too much money, but I burned a lot of calories from walking, walking, walking. 

Nothing much else going on really. Just wedding plans, getting used to the new family life w/ 3 partially grown kids, and trying to get it all together ready to start a new phase of my life.

Wow, well, somehow or another, I let several months go by without updating here. That's kind of sad. I guess I'm just very busy. No, I know I'm very busy. Work has been uber-insane lately and I'm trying to plan our wedding. The wedding date is set for 07/07/07. I have a dress and the bridesmaids and a whole bunch of other stuff. It just seems to be the little things that I can't seem to remember. 

Things on the WLS front are good. I'm maintaining my weight 3+ years out. I eat 3 meals a day and snack pretty frequently. I bounce up and down 5 pounds, but I'm okay with that. As long as my clothes don't get tight and I feel good - I'm okay. 

Well, Happy Valentine's Day to everyone. I wish you all love and happiness.

Gobble Gobble!!! It's that turkey time of year and the air is cool. Of course that also means families, food, shopping, and an overdose of all of those things. Went to my folks' house yesterday. We had fun. I rode the horse, Belle, and she was quite snotty and full of piss and vinegar. You'll be happy to know that I didn't scream once while I was on her. I did have a wow moment, but it almost resulted in a broke noggin. LOL My nephew Jeremy was giving me a leg up onto Belle the horse. I said, "Jer - just put your hand on my butt and push me onto the dang horse!" (He didn't want to touch his Aunt's butt, apparently...... roflmao)  So, um, he did and damn near threw me OVER the horse. As I was flinging over the edge he said, "Gosh Cheryl!!!! I didn't know you were so light!!!!!!"  I really did have to laugh at that. Anyway, other than that, not much going on! I hope you all had a great turkey day. I'm headed out into the masses for Black Friday for some good deals, I hope. Until next time -

Well, good morning!!!! This has been a fabulous week already. Philip proposed to me and I said YES!!!!!! He gave me a gorgeous oval cut diamond ring from Jared (yes, HE went to JARED!). He took me to Moody Gardens Aquarium in Galveston (where we had our first date 2 years ago on 11/20) and proposed to me in front of the penguins (my favorite!!!!).  I don't usually get silly and giddy - but I darn sure am now!!!!!! I love him. It's that simple. I love him and his three little girls. Instant family and I love it! No date yet - but can I just tell you - NONE of this would have happened if I hadn't had the courage to get on that OR table 3+ years ago with Dr. Naaman. I am so grateful. Thank you Lord for sending me a wonderful man who loves me for me with all my faults and quirks.

I have to tell ya - I'm getting pretty good at this profile stuff. Making it cute, I mean. I am having a blast with this!!! I added a George Strait video to the bottom of the profile. I just love him. He's so cute. lol

Nothing much to report today. It's Saturday and tomorrow we are taking Philip's girls to the Renaissance Festival. I'm looking forward to it. 

On the weight loss front - I've lost 6 pounds since I saw Dr. Naaman a couple of weeks ago. I'm not sure how that's happened, but I'm not complaining.

Well, it's 2 months until Christmas. I'm not ready for it yet this year. I went and saw Dr. Naaman yesterday. Good news - he gave me a clean bill of health. All my labs are good. He said that he doesn't need to see me again unless I have problems. Sooooooo I need to find a good primary care doc to take care of my blood work every 6 months. I also had lost a couple of pounds since the last time I was there. All in all - good news.

On a different note, I was asked yesterday to go back to Iraq. After a lot of internal conflict about it (and the money!!!!), and after a lot of tears and conversation with Philip about it last night - I'm not going. It's just not the right time. I would be going back to Basrah, to where I was before. But this time would be for 3 months and I would have to leave next week. I spent my b-day in Iraq this year - I don't want to spend my Holidays there too. So - I kissed away that money. C'est la vie.

That's it for me for now. Off to go grab some lunch and update my profile looks. :) Take care.

10/18/06 Still feeling crappy with this cold / cough / flu mess. I don't know what is going on and why I can't kick it. Probably because I had major surgery 5 weeks ago and my poor body just can't keep up with all the trauma.  Enough griping. :-P

10/14/06 Looks like I have a nasty cold or flu. Aleady and it's only the 2nd week in October, I think. A lot has happened since my last update (way down on the "My story" part.).  I've had some plastics (re-do on the boobs and left elbow) again. This time, Dr. L put in permanent sutures in my muscle wall and ribcage. Can you just say OMG _ OWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It sucked!!!!!!!!!! I have never in my life felt any pain like that one. OMG Just shoot me. Of course, it's been 5 weeks since then and while I still have some pain, it's no big deal. Right after the plastics, I got a nasty virus of some kind. I threw up and had diarrhea for about a week. And last week, got a nasty bladder infection and then came down with this flu/cold bug. My health just sucks lately. Oy. Anyway, I'm maintaining my weight. I had gained about 20 pounds and it's still there. I fluctuate about 5 pounds a week - gain and lose it. I think this is where my body wants to be. OK - I'll let it. Enough for now. Time for more TheraFlu. Take care, Cheryl
