Wow, it is amazing how time gets away from me. This has been an interesting time in my journey. My weight loss has just almost completely stalled out but I am enjoying so many new things at the same time. I have discovered a few things:1. Who would have guessed that I am a Petite! Well, I am only 5 ft tall but at 300+ pounds, petite doesn't exist. Now I search the petite department and my shoulders don't droop and my pants don't drag!
2. Loving some bangle bracelets! I saw them in Texas and thought they looked great. I figured I'd have to find a plus size shop to get some to fit but wandered into a claire's and tried some on, they fit! I honestly cannot EVER remember wearing a regular bracelet.
3. I have to avoid the posts on this site where folks are talking about their bodies. I can't help but compare and soon enough a good day turns sour when I read a lady weighs 240 and is a size 14 when I weigh 180 and still wear 16/18. I have to celebrate me without focusing on others. I'm fragile!
4. I like being invisable! At 300+ I was never invisable, everyone looked at me, with either a look of pity or disgust but now, noone notices me, I look just like everyone else! It is very free-ing.
5. Hair returns! I had about accepted the fact that I would be totally bald, but whoohoo, it is coming back in! I also learned that thinner hair spikes better!
6. I have lots of skin to deal with. boy oh Boy do I have a lot of skin. I don't like how it looks but hey I didn't like how I looked before hand and now I can wear petites and wear bangle bracelets and breathe.
7. I can live without certain foods if it means I get to LIVE. Sitting with my kids in IHOP and was lamenting the pancakes.......You know what I mean. I got to moaning about the things I either will never be able to eat again or never should eat again and it dawned on me, I can live without those things, because with them I was dying but without them I get to live. And I choose to live.
