I am 31 y/o, married to a wounderful man, mother of 3 very cool kids and a nurse in the ER. I have been overweight for as long as I can remember. I started looking at WLS info about 5-6 years ago. It's been a long walk to get me to where I am today. The hospital I worked @ for almost 10 years has insurance from the dark ages and would not under any condition consider WLS no matter how hard you fought with them.... So I pretty much thought I was never going to be in a position to walk down this road...
HELLO HELLO!!!!! I'm here world!!! YEA!!! It's amazing how God works!!! I moved to Northwest Indiana almost 2 years ago when I got married... and guess what!!! My new hospital, not only has rockin insurance and covers WLS but they sent me to UofC to there WLS program!! I feel blessed!! So that is where I am..
I have went through all the questions and pokes and prods that you have to go through to get aproved for UofC's progam.. My husband and I are both going through the program and are in the "waiting" stage for insurance to approve us.. Ironicly the only thing that the insurace is having us do is go to our DR for 6 months and have "supervised" wt loss and fitness education.. that will be done by the end of July.... sooo I hope we can set a date in August!!
