Well i had surgery April 5 08 in TJ Mexico. Can't even remember the name of my doctor..it all happened so fast. I took a bus from Phoenix to San Diego and was running late (i hate flying but I'm going to have major surgery in TJ mexico!!) so the driver and bodyguard took me across the border (yes bodyguard haha) take me to this little place and draw blood then straight to the hospital stopping at no stop signs. So in the elevator i meet this pretty and young lady that looked like she was 20 and her armed guard SHE WAS MY SURGEON!! Well she was nice...i think. But the place was just like a hospital in the U.S...i think. Everybody was real nice and it was clean...i think. The place was called Bentancourt medical (maybe someone out there might know who she was). I have read that its a different name now?? Well anyways everything went fine, i haven't had one single problem and it went well. I have lost 100 lbs now and haven't really worked out except walking, but i know i need to start so i can get toned up. My skin hasn't sagged at all, i think its because i lost it slow. I feel so much better now. I get my fills here in Phoenix and have had three, I'm starting to feel like i might need another soon. Oh and yes i took the bus back home haha, the owner of the med center (the person that i was told was doing my surgery) even offered many times to fly me home even first class! But I'm chicken of that flying stuff! That bus ride was the longest ride ever.
I guess the bad thing about getting surgery in Mexico is that its hard to find a doctor in the U.S. that will help you with anything like fills or problems. The lady that does fills in Phx is the only one i found. I found out the hard way with FILL CENTERS USA that they just use the same lady i now use, but you pay them $500 bucks to find out because they keep it a big secret, but that's how business works so i can't be mad...just wish i knew.
A little about my life...i was in law enforcement for ten years and also married for ten years. I had a stressful position and started gaining big time weight and at the same time finding out my wife was cheating on me...but we stayed together and then in 2006 she did it again and i filed for divorce. It was hard because i would see my two kids sad, so i just kept eating for comfort and got to 300 lbs. I quit my job last year to collect my retirement check and pay for the lap band. Now I'm working and starting school next month to be an electrician and air condition tech (good money in phoenix) and from out of nowhere my old time friend from the childhood days called me...well long story short, he is the regional director of operations for a nationwide air company so i have a very good lead for a great job. Its weird how things work. Right now my weight is 195 and by mid september 2009 I WILL be at 165.
