I have been fighting with my weight for a very long time. Being a type 2 diabetic(insulin pump), I am not able to lose like I need to due to the insulin causing me to gain weight. High cholesterol and high blood pressure are also present. This surgery will give me a chance to start a new chapter in my life. I know that I wont be able to eat a lot of the things I love but it is a small price to pay for being healthy. I was originally Wanting to have the DS, but my surgeon felt the RNY would be better. So, I trust my Dr's judgement. There are so many things I am learning about this type of surgery and its circumstances. But I am ready to make this change, not just for me but for my children as well. I am always on here looking for any and all information that may benefit me in the long run. This site is a blessing to me and I am sure others as well. So please dont hesitate to leave me a message. I welcome all advice.
